Hi everyone! I...haven't posted anything yet, but I actually HAVE been drawing pages, so here's a whole slew of 'em at once. 12! I've bought myself a couple days' reprieve ^_^ Scanning for some reason is a huge block for me.

Umm...also I love everyone's work so far! There are a few names I think I recognize ^-^

I apologize for my pencils being so haphazard - this really is how I work, sadly enough.

And yes, this is a fancomic, don't laugh!!! )

I was so tired yesterday that I couldn't stay awake. So I went to bed early.

Busy day at work today but I get to have Wednesday off for Veteran's Day--I'll try drawing more pages then.

We need more level-headed main chicks in anime/manga )

Okay, I'm off for the night.

Thanks for looking and the comments, guys~ ^3^

Is anyone here planning to go on the

Writing on the Waves!

I'm seriously considering it, even though it is super expensive... I'm like, how often do I spend money on myself?

Okay, so tonight I re-drew a bothersome panel from an entirely different chapter, and then veered off into the slacker zone and drew a fun practice comic instead.

Oh it is a page )

Update on the weather can be defined as this:

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL STORMFAIL The hurricane couldn't get it up. The storm had a failure to launch. Florida wasn't pretty enough and the storm got too distracted in thinking about Galveston and Nawlins. LOLZ. *insert more 12 year old boy humor here*

Ida broke up into a tropical storm just before landfall and also kinda wiggled to the left and went into Mobile Bay in Alabama.

Anyway. I'm suffering a case of the Week 2 Dun Wannas crossed between feeling a little under the weather (lolpun) so I've gotta get off my ass and get to it. Turns out I'm math stupid and I'm only doing 129 boards which is so much nicer than 141. But I still need to do about 5 to 6 boards a day to make it. I figure I'll just spend the day tomorrow getting ridiculously ahead. I've also been goofing off on WriMo but I'm also at 30.5k. I think I'm allowed.

ANYWAY. Let's have some flower boys and more education! (Okay. Does Kudzu count as a flower? He's more like... foliage. C_Ca Parasitic foliage.)

Seriously. You guys talk about being the top game of your genre. Stop being so friggin' clique-y. You've got players who are more than willing to play small parts, but you have to INCLUDE them.

#1 - If you want to play a canon, make them canon. Don't fudge with them, because you don't like something about their history/persona. It's NOT an AU game.

#2 Stop with the same people always being in the drama. Your character does not need to be the one shot/lost/kidnapped/tortured/etc  every single plot line. REALLY. People will still like them.   How about you let some of the other players get a little of the drama in, let them develop their characters more. The more developed and faceted a character, the more possible avenues of RP!

#3 If you just feel you aren't getting ENOUGH attention, and your character isn't feeling 'Speshul' anymore? At least make the drama workable. Not something that A) You think of and decide it'll be fun! B) Would get anyone else killed, but ohnoyerspeshul! C) makes no linear sense with your character's previous actions at all, or D) Would get any other character in serious trouble, but again you are a speshul snowflake, and you just float above it all!

#4 Pay attention to the plot's AREA. Knowing WHERE you are, and how the landscape is set up, is a good thing.

#5 Don't offer plot spots/RP up on general, and then wimp out, because you didn't get your BFF's response first. If you're only playing with one person 95% of the time or more, with a group of well over 20 players? Maybe you should make your own private RP. Just a thought. I understand having someone you like to play with a lot, someone you prefer over anyone else. *I* have someone like that. Guess what? We have our own RP on the side for that.

#6 Drama is GOOD. Drama can be FUN. OVERDRAMATIZING is bad, okay? Taking things one step over the line happens. Three giant leaps over? Shouldn't.

#7 When you ask for RP, and have it offered to you? Don't just completely wuss out and ignore the person. A polite 'No thank you, I don't think that scene would work very well." is an amazing thing. Or discuss if the person has another character that could possibly interact in a way more fitting your mood!

#8 Don't cut someone else off, who's trying to RP with you, just to go RP what you'd LIKE to be your OTP. It's rude. People besides your RP BFF have feelings too.

Just a list of simple rules to RP by.

I should say I love Gustave Moreau's Bishonen.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I found this amazing look alike with the San Sebastian from the XIX french artist Gustave Moreau and this pose of Takahashi Hiroki. I am sorry I'm Hiroki-centric but I thought you should see this. If this is not the right place to show it, you can delete it ;__;.

There is a difference between cliquey players, and players who get bored and therefore stick to the people they know and trust are going to be reliable.

You can't really sit on your ass, waiting for plots and scenes to fall in your lap, and then call the rest of the cast cliquey because they aren't falling over themselves to play with you. Yes, admittedly, there should be an effort made to reach out to new players and it sucks when it doesn't happen, but at some point you've really got to meet people half-way and put yourself out there.

If people shun your attempts, then by all means, call them cliquey. But they're like spiders - they're more afraid of you than you are of them. Make an attempt first.

I'm tired and didn't get yesterday's comic up. Here it is, though it's only one page. Hopefully you'll forgive me.

NanoMangO Day Eight )

I missed yesterday because we had some slight issues with one of our older girl rats, Morgan. She's been having breathing issues lately and we took her to the vet today. She's on medication and she hasn't been having any problems, so hopefully it gets better. But it was a stressful weekend.

I'm making up for it with a sketch of Morgan and her sister Meetu as today's comic (because it was a rough day and I'm still worried about our girl.

Morgan & Meetu )

Alright. Tomorrow I'll get back on track.

I have to take my hat off to you, dude. Seriously.

This character of mine is the sweetest, fluffiest, most adorable person on earth. She believes in love at first sight, love conquers all, love is good in any form and she cries when someone has to kill a fucking ZOMBIE to protect her. She was betrothed to a vampire from the Nosferatu clan, despite being a Toreador, and is so fucking naive that she ran all the way from France to where she is now, JUST because she honestly believed he wanted her to. She wears pink and white in the World of Darkness, writes poetry and loves flowers.

...how the FUCK did you manage to scare her OFF?

Kudos, my friend. Kudos. Not only have you been stalking my characters, trying to get one of them- ANY of them- to sleep with yours, but you pull this new character out of your 'vault,' throw him into circulation, and instantly find a reason for him to be attracted to her.

He had a lover. Right.

Another Toreador. Okay.

With blue eyes. ...

And rose-red hair. -.-

...who sang...

And whose name is *remarkably* similar to my character's name.

...okay, I even understand where that's coming from. Desperately seeking an IC excuse to chase my poor, sweet, innocent little virginal vampire halfway across the city, hoping to seduce her. Gotcha. Fine. Whatever.

What *really* puzzles me is that you somehow thought telling me OOC that your character really had a 'thing' for her was going to stop the plotline she was ALREADY in. Or that you somehow thought your character telling her that she resembled the dead lover he 'can't let go of' was going to make her leap into your arms. Yes, she's so sweet she's given half the vampires on the game cavities. Does that mean she's stupid? No. No woman wants to believe she's being used as a replacement for a woman who died. Especially not when the new woman in question is already being blood-bound to another vampire, who has a much greater attraction for her than yours!!! Forcing her to dance with you, hanging onto her when she's trying to get some personal space, and tracking her back to her home... NOT the way to go, seriously.
And then you complain at me OOC when I kindly give you the heads-up that she won't be around for a while because of the plotline she'd been involved in BEFORE you showed up. ...excuse me? No. I think not. Take your libido, go buy a few toys from Eros and let the drama calm the fuck down. You are two seconds from getting slaughtered, and it won't be my character that does it. There are many other people here who are losing their patience with you, and they're more violent than she is.

(And the scary thing? This is the same person I posted about before. *facedesk* I'm too nice. I need to stop playing with this jackass.)

I seem to be having an uncanny amount of sucks this month. Which is -odd-, since I'm not RPing near as much. Most of them aren't postworthy. This one is from friday, and it didn't occur to me to post it until now.

Dear person with the ditsy mage,

When I set a scene with my character five or six feet underwater (and said that in pretty much those exact words within the post as well as a lot of other underwater description)... Having your character come up and tap him on the shoulder as though the rock he's laying on is on land is a bit... Odd. The fact that your post was posted not even three minutes after mine (these are long multi-paragraph posts) makes me think that you didn't even read my post and just wrote yours ahead of time. The fact that you were confused when I asked you if she'd gone into the water with a spell so that she could talk or something just makes it even worse.

You were really embarrassed once you realized that my character wasn't even in armsreach of the surface (despite us having planned this all out the day before), but please to be reading my posts before you respond to them. It's not a race, and I was studying so it's not like I was going to reply quickly anyways.

Love,
The person with the merboy
